Ever heard of skincare made for tropical countries? I’ve been a fan of Taiwanese sheet masks (My Beauty Diary & My Scheming) for quite some time now and this new brand from Taiwan that’s now in Manila currently has my attention. 23.5°N specifically caters to people who live in tropical countries (like the Philippines). To me, that’s really something because my problem with Korean skincare has always been how different the weather is there from here in Manila. What specifically is for dry skin for them may be too much (since they have 4 seasons – different weather , climate, and humidity) for people with dry skin here. I have dry skin and some skincare can make me oily.

I attended their launch at Single Origin in Makati. The set-up was very tropical. I love it! For those who haven’t been to Taiwan, one of the things that I noticed on my first time there was how it’s urban yet has quite a lot of forests and farms surrounding their cities. You can say that they have easy access to quality natural ingredients – and that must be one of the reasons why their skincare products are so good!

“Sitting 23.5ºN of the equator, the Tropic of Cancer marks the northernmost circle of the globe where direct sunlight kisses land and water. This intangible loop runs across deserts and tropical climates, with the exception of Southern China and Taiwan––dubbed the Magical Green Belt of the Tropics––where greens and agriculture flourish. Building off Taiwan’s reputation as an Ilha Formosa or beautiful island teeming with natural resources, cosmetics brand 23.5ºN brings farm to face with natural and nurturing skincare.

Simple and meticulous, the brand’s approach to beauty is rooted in a back-to-basics philosophy. This no-frills ideology keeps the product formulations effective and easy on the skin. Free of fragrance, artificial coloring, alcohol, and parabens, 23.5ºN products are freshly extracted from Taiwan’s local plants grown without the aid of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Well-preserved from harvest to extraction, the plants and the active ingredients within them are kept fresh from start to finish.

Striking an impeccable balance between oil and water-based ingredients, 23.5ºN is dedicated to nurturing Asian skin in a variety of climates, including the Philippines’ hot and humid weather. With high concentrations and refreshing effects on the skin, 23.5ºN proves that women need not choose between proves that when it comes to skincare, women need not choose between efficacy and comfort when it comes to skincare.”

Helen Ho, founder of 23.5ºN flew all the way to Manila to introduce the brand.

23.5ºN offers product lines made of carefully selected natural ingredients to help every women in treating common skin problems:

  • Rice – for soothing
  • Red Pearl Barley – for whitening
  • Bamboo – for ultra hydrating
  • Oriental Beauty Tea – for balancing

I freakin’ love the packaging! ;_;

Anything nature-ish looks so yummy in my eyes! I was so excited to try them! <3

We had an activity where we created our own sheet mask serum! There were different natural ingredients available for us to mix and match and come up with something that our skin needs.

Here’s mine where I mixed a some rice, bamboo, and cucumber extracts! *.* OMG, I had fun doing this!

Here’s the sheet mask where we poured the serum.

DIY sheet mask done! :O I honestly have yet to try it. I’ve been so lazy with my skincare lately~

YAZZZZZ! <3 I can’t wait to try these products – just really trying to finish some of mine off. KkkK~ My friend, Tricia, has been loving them so far!
