Standing Buddha Temple, Marble Temple, Floating Market and Platinum Mall
Sharing some of the photos that I took of the beautiful Thailand last September. This is part one (most are taken in Bangkok). T’was my first time and I didn’t want to go home.
Thailand wins at having the most Buddhist temples in the world (roughly 14,000)! Temple-hopping is an absolute must- they’re all so Insta-worthy!
Breathtaking. It’s all in the details. They’re much prettier in real life.
Standing with the enormous Standing Buddha.
Sadly, the Marble Temple was under maintenance so I didn’t get to take a proper photo of the front. This side is pretty enough.
There’s a zen-ish area by the Marble Temple. Only monks can cross the center of that bridge. Move aside! Lol. Kidding.
This dog must be guarding something.
Tuktuk! To complete the whole Thai experience.
The famous Platinum Mall where all the shopping happens. The nicest and most organized tiangge I’d seen in my life.
I couldn’t take more photos without the vendors giving me death stares. Lol.
The Platinum Mall food court. I love the food courts in Bangkok- a no brainer if you like Thai Food or any Asian cuisine. You have to get a card at the counter and load it using your cash to be able to eat here. You pay for the food using the card. Food safety at the food court!
Mango + sticky rice! Can you not?
We had dinner by the street. There’s this small area in Pratunam (behind Platinum Mall) where locals would set-up tables and chairs every Sunday bringing the freshest seafood and cooking them on the spot. My tummy was elated! This experience was the highlight of my trip. I ate 2/3 of the huge bowl of Tom Yum we ordered and it was just me and my mom.
Platinum Mall by night.
The Floating Market which had too many souvenir shops. I want food! Lol.
Coconut ice cream! Tasted like our local “dirty” ice cream.
